About the role:
Reporting to the Director, Lived Experience and Diverse Communities, the Manager of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion leads a team who work to promote good mental health and wellbeing within the Victorian community and to ensure the mental health and wellbeing system is responsive to the needs of diverse communities.
The manager is responsible for implementing the Diverse Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Framework and Blueprint and design, implementation and oversight of programs and initiatives that deliver equity and inclusion for multicultural and multifaith communities; disability communities and LGBTIQA+ communities in the mental health and wellbeing system.
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team operate in a complex and demanding environment, where their work is often focused on supporting and influencing the work of others. This requires a manager with capacity to exercise sound judgement, liaise effectively with senior executives and build relationships with key people, particularly working in partnership with diverse communities and with sectors beyond health to support their engagement with mental health reforms.
