Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programs, services and community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex offences on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole.
About the role:
The Grampians Region is unique, requiring a flexible approach that integrates the responsibilities of Court Assessment and Prosecutions, Court Case Management and Parole and Post sentence streams. Given the vast geographical area that the Horsham Justice Service Centre covers, the role must be adaptable to meet the evolving needs of these areas as well as staff working across these practice streams.
The role involves consulting on risk escalation, incident management, and quality assurance and reports to the Regional General Managers. Collaboration with various stakeholders, such as the Adult Parole Board, police, courts, and other correctional units, is key.
The role also requires participation in an after-hours “on-call” Duty Director system and regular travel across the Grampians region.
