About Us:
The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is responsible for providing in-house legal services across the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) and to the Attorney-General, as First Law Officer, and other DJCS portfolio Ministers.
The Commercial and Regulatory team provides legal support to DJCS' operations, programs and enabling functions, including a wide range of investigations, disputes and litigation. Its work spans procurement, employment, industrial relations, infrastructure, IT, construction, integrity body investigations, FOI and privacy.
About the Role:
OGC is recruiting a manager role within its Commercial and Regulatory team. The team is led by three co-Managers, each responsible for overseeing the delivery of legal services on a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters across the justice portfolio.

Successful candidates will have a proven ability to manage high-performing teams in the delivery of sophisticated, authoritative and concise advice and legal services on complex legal matters. Experience in commercial and/or public law matters will be invaluable; experience in both is not mandatory. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop their expertise across practice areas as part of a diverse and collegiate leadership team.
The candidate will also be able to work across the broader OGC team, including matters outside the Commercial & Regulatory team.
