The Reportable Conduct Scheme (the Scheme) seeks to improve how organisations identify and respond to allegations of child abuse and misconduct. Working to establish and manage a new team, the Manager Child Safety Intake is responsible for the operational performance of the intake function for the Scheme and will lead the management of notifications of alleged abuse and investigation findings made by organisations under the Scheme. This includes leading a team to apply an analytical focus to recommending whether notifications come within scope of the Scheme, validating critical information, identifying risks, responding to enquiries via phone and email about the Scheme, providing advice and guidance to organisations and preparing referrals to Victoria Police and other regulators. The Manager Child Safety Intake will model a trauma-informed and child-centered approach, and collaborate with other teams who deliver other aspects of the operation of the Scheme.
