The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available to join the Thriving Kids (TK) Victoria Taskforce for two years as it prepares for the first phase of implementation. It is an opportunity to work in a high-profile team at the centre of major reform to improve early support for children with developmental delay and/or autism.
The Taskforce plays a critical role in shaping how Victorian government departments and the Commonwealth work together to design and deliver earlier, more coordinated and community-based supports for children and families. This work sits at the intersection of policy, service design, intergovernmental collaboration and system reform, and requires people who are motivated by impact, complexity and meaningful change.
The Manager of the Budget, Modelling and Governance Unit has oversight of a diverse range of work and leads a dedicated team across the workstreams. The role has carriage of:
Working in the Taskforce offers the opportunity to contribute to nationally significant reform, engage with a wide range of partners across government and the sector. This is a full-time, fixed-term role until 30 June 2028 and the role commencing ASAP.
