First Peoples Self-Determination Division at DEECA are seeking a highly talented individual with experience working in partnership with Victorian Traditional Owners across the state. Applicants should be motivated with skills in community engagement, project management, strategic planning, influencing and management.
The Manager, Aboriginal Partnership and Engagement is responsible for providing support across DEECA to build and strengthen meaningful relationships and genuine partnerships with the many distinct Traditional Owners, Aboriginal Communities and key stakeholders.
As Manager, you will competently lead and support your staff, provide direction and clear expectations needed to engage Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Victorians into DEECA business and successfully implement Pupangarli Marnmarnepu, DEECA’s Self-Determination Reform Strategy 2020-2025 and the Traditional Owner and Aboriginal Community Engagement Framework.
You will use your highly developed skills and wealth of experience to strengthen DEECA’s capacity as a culturally safe and inclusive organisation and strategically network, support and advise DEECA portfolios on effective engagement and partnership with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Victorians.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
