THE ROLE
The Manager, Prevention Practice and Workforce will lead a team responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of Victorian Government programs to prevent family violence, sexual violence and violence against women. This includes, but is not limited to:
- developing and delivering programs that:
- reach people in the places they live, learn, work and play, including local government, healthcare and other community settings
- address the drivers of gender-based violence against LGBTIQA+ communities
- support the capability and connection of the prevention workforce
- prevent sexual violence, including the impacts of pornography
- leading Victorian Government policy on the primary prevention of family violence, sexual violence and violence against women, including through the analysis of emerging research.
- stakeholder engagement with key primary prevention and government stakeholders.
The Manager will contribute to the strategic leadership of Family Safety Victoria, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Strategically design, develop, implement and evaluate programs to meet statewide departmental and government objectives and community expectations.
- Forge strong connections across the department and with external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
- Identify and actively manage emerging issues and areas of risk for government, department and the community.
