About the Division and Branch
The People & Workplace Relations (Schools) Division implements strategic workforce initiatives, provides human resource services and strategic human resource policy advice in areas of school employee relations, payroll, recruitment and provision of HR data to assist in the building of a high-quality and diverse workforce. Recruitment, payroll and reporting support is also provided to external clients.
The Schools Workforce Initiatives and Support Branch is responsible for implementing and delivering a range of workforce recruitment initiatives to increase teacher and education support supply in Victoria government schools.
About the Role
As the Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and leading key teaching service workforce support projects and services from planning to completion, evaluation and may include a component of leading a central support team to assist schools/regions with their workforce challenges. This is a senior role within the People & Workplace Relations (Schools) Division and requires consultation with a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring key deliverables are met and Senior Executives are appraised of the project's progress.
You will have sound leadership, project management and policy development skills, including the ability to find innovative solutions to address strategic issues relevant to the Schools Workforce Initiatives and Support project portfolio.
The role will manage the development and implementation of recruitment projects, resource allocations, budget, programming, complex procurement, risks, project milestones and deliverables, project governance and reporting associated with major projects. This position will also lead sensitive community and stakeholder engagement.
