An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Social Policy Group, Multicultural Affairs Branch, as a Manager, Programs, Grants and Compliance at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
Multicultural Affairs works in partnership with Victoria's diverse multicultural communities and brings together all the policy functions and program activity areas that drive the Victorian Government's policy agenda and commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaged and harmonious multicultural community in Victoria. The Division has two branches: Programs and Partnerships, and Policy.
The Manager, Program, Grants and Compliance leads multiple high-volume grants programs (over 1,000 grants per financial year) and compliance activities in the Programs and Partnerships branch.
In this position you will use your outstanding leadership and people management skills to manage a large team in the design, development, implementation and review of key grant programs and initiatives in multicultural affairs. This may include infrastructure, strategic projects, festival and events programs as well as delivery of election commitments and other key initiatives.
Reporting to the Director, Programs and Partnerships, this role has oversight of the Acquittals and Compliance Team, which is a critical function within the Multicultural Affairs branch, responsible for ensuring the accountability, integrity, transparency and best practice implementation of grant programs. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working to best practice grants delivery.
The successful candidate will be required to lead complex grant programs and manage and develop a team in the preparation and oversight of the delivery of high-quality briefs and written advice. You will provide authoritative advice to the Minister for Multicultural Affairs, the Secretary and senior executives on the status and implementation of grants to support high-quality decision making and to provide strategic advice on emerging issues.
