The Commercial Division is accountable for providing advice on the state's financial assets and liabilities, along with oversight of the Government's business enterprises. It takes a lead role in overseeing significant government commercial transactions, providing both transaction advisory services and advice. Additionally, the Division manages workplace safety, housing related funds and loan schemes, and the regulatory function that provides oversight of the performance of the community housing sector in Victoria.
Workplace Safety Reform
The Workplace Safety Reform team supports the Minister for WorkSafe and the TAC in the delivery of an ambitious policy agenda and key strategic reforms. This includes emerging safety issues for high-risk industries, psychological health and sexual harassment reforms, improvements to Victoria's workers' compensation system and a range of policy, legislative, and regulatory changes to improve safety in the workplace.
