About the role:
This position is a fixed term, full time role till 16 April 2027.
Reporting to the Director, Governance, Reform and Collaboration, this critical management role leads a team that is responsible for supporting voluntary mergers of health services, which are intended to improve the effectiveness of the health system and enable more streamlined access to care for patients.
The role will be involved in management of health service voluntary mergers, including process, approvals, conducting board appointments and ensuring legislative obligations are met including through Governor in Council and Cabinet. Collaborating with other teams across the department as well as with health sector representatives you will be involved in project management, coordination of cross departmental processes to embed mergers, planning for communications and tracking benefits which flow from health service voluntary mergers.
The role operates in a sensitive and time critical environment with many competing priorities. The successful candidate will be a skilled leader who thinks strategically and ensures effective delivery of products to meet divisional, departmental and whole-of-Victorian Government requirements. The candidate will also be flexible, have excellent communication skills, an ability to exercise sound judgement and operate with autonomy. The candidate will lead and create a positive team culture to build and sustain positive stakeholder relationships.
