About the role
West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking an organised and proactive Maintenance & Assets Planner to join our Facilities Maintenance team.
Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, this role coordinates the maintenance and asset management system and supports preventative and planned maintenance across WGHG buildings, plant and equipment.
You will maintain accurate asset and maintenance records, coordinate work programs delivered by a combination of external works contractors, and internal team, monitor essential-services requirements and help ensure maintenance activities are delivered safely and in accordance with legislation, standards and internal frameworks.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong maintenance-planning, compliance and data-management capabilities who enjoys working with operational teams, contractors and technical stakeholders.

To succeed in this position, you will bring:
Experience in asset management, planned maintenance scheduling, preventative maintenance programs, CMMS or asset-register administration, SharePoint and Microsoft 365 will be highly regarded. A relevant degree, postgraduate qualification or trade qualification would also be advantageous.
You will be a team player, and ready to step in, and support all other facilities team members, during times of peak demand, and resource heavy works plans. You are reliable, adaptable and practical, with the initiative to manage day-to-day priorities while recognising when guidance is required. You will communicate respectfully, maintain confidentiality and build productive relationships with staff, contractors and other stakeholders.
