About the Role
Fixed term to cover a period of leave from 12th August 2025 until 19th September 2025. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 8am – 4pm, Friday 8am – 1pm
The Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant role supports the group coordinator to deliver an activities program designed in partnership with clients attending the groups and various activities.
Programs may be delivered on site or in community settings. Transporting clients to the centre and various activities are an important part of the role. During these activities it is recognised that clients of varying abilities may be participating and varying levels of support may be required to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Key Selection Criteria:
• Knowledge of the wellness and reablement approach to aged carewith regard to goal setting and care planning.
• Knowledge of issues relating to frail / aged, people with disabilitiesand their carers
• Understanding of Accreditation Standards, quality systems and continuous improvement models
• Working knowledge of My Aged Care (MAC), Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and Home and Community Care program (HACC), Support at Home Program (SAH), National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literacy
