About Us:
The Courts, Civil and Criminal Law (CCCL) group provides policy advice and support on criminal law, civil law, and court and tribunal issues for which the Attorney-General is responsible.
CCCL includes the Courts and Justice System Reform (CJSR) division, which leads strategic court and justice system reform relevant to the Attorney-General's responsibilities, including strategic projects relating to the courts and key entities across the justice system. CJSR works collaboratively with key entities across the justice system and the department to ensure policy reform is strategic, relevant, holistic and people-centred.
Within CJSR, Courts Policy, Strategy and Legislation (CPSL) supports and advises the Attorney-General on policy issues across the court and coronial systems. The Courts Policy, Strategy and Legislation branch consists of three teams:

The Legal Policy Officer is responsible for contributing to the co-ordination, research, development, implementation, review and reform of policy and legislation across the Attorney-General's portfolio, as it relates to courts.
