About the Role
The Legal Operations Coordinator (Systems & Spend) plays a key role in supporting the effective delivery of legal services through the administration and continuous improvement of the Division's case and matter management system (CMMS).
This role has a strong systems focus, with responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the CMMS, including managing user access and providing first line troubleshooting of technical issues, supporting business-as-usual operations. A core component of the role involves contributing to the planning, testing and implementation of system updates, configuration changes and enhancements, working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the system remains reliable, fit for purpose and aligned to business needs.
In addition to systems administration, the role has responsibility for coordinating legal spend processes, including invoice management and financial tracking, while providing guidance and support to staff involved in processing activities.
Working as part of a broader legal operations function, the Coordinator contributes to initiatives that improve how legal services are delivered. This includes supporting data quality uplift, system optimisation, and assisting with the continuous improvement of tools, processes and reporting practices.
This is an excellent opportunity for a systems-oriented professional who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, process and service delivery, and who is keen to build capability in legal operations within a large and complex organisation.
Prior experience in system administration and proficiency in case and matter management tools is essential, along with an understanding of best practice approaches to managing systems and applicatons, including change control, issue management and working within organisational governance processes.
A strong understanding of invoice processing and compliance in a government or large organisational context is desirable.
