About the role
Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to our Family, Youth and Children's Law (FYCL) team. As a Legal Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of our client services. You will triage client queries at court and in the office, as well as provide information and referrals to the public, legal practitioners, and other community services.
This is a frontline role that interacts daily with clients, courts, and community stakeholders at the Moorabbin Justice Centre — often supporting people who are facing serious life challenges including family violence, poverty, mental illness, or contact with the criminal justice or child protection systems.
This role is based at the Moorabbin Justice Centre on Boonwurrung Country.
