Overview
Maximising the learning growth of all students remains a key focus of Ararat College. The Learning Specialist for Literacy will play a key role in ensuring a whole school approach to the teaching of literacy is embedded across the school that utilises real time data and increases staff professional expertise. They will be required to work closely with the Principal Class Team, Learning Specialist for Numeracy and PLC Team.
Core responsibilities of the role
As Learning Specialist for Literacy, your duties include but are not limited to the following:
Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.

Ararat College has a current enrolment of around 370 students. Students are transported to school on six country buses, with a variety of primary schools feeding into the College.
