The Learning Designer is responsible for designing new, accessible, digital learning materials for young people. This role will work with internal teams, external suppliers and subject matter experts to scope, develop and deliver materials that are consistent with organisational priorities to build legal capability.

About the Role
Reporting to the Education and Events Director, the role is responsible for designing new, accessible, digital learning materials for young people. This role will work with internal teams, external suppliers and subject matter experts to scope, develop and deliver materials that are consistent with organisational priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop effective and accessible interactive content working with internal teams, external suppliers and subject matter experts.
- Create instructional content, including user/troubleshooting guides and video content.
- Collaborate closely on the design of digital surveys and assessments.
- Storyboard and incorporate digital designs, illustrations and animation into learning resources.
- Provide professional development for internal teams on visual learning design theory and techniques and enhance digital skills in emerging technologies.
About You
You are passionate about collaborating across teams to create engaging learning experiences that enhance access to justice for young people. Highly motivated and committed to excellence, you bring flexibility, adaptability, and analytical thinking to develop creative solutions to continue to build VLF's digital learning capability.
To do this the successfully you will:
- Have proven experience in instructional design and digital learning design (ideally in a university, high school or TAFE context).
- Have expert proficiency in software skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite (Illustrator), Articulate 360, Storyline/Rise, Canva, and experienced in animation and video editing.
- Be experienced in administering online learning platforms and integrating innovative elements like illustrations into educational resources.
- Have excellent communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, external suppliers, and subject matter experts.
