Leading Teachers: are school-based leaders with a defined area of responsibility who lead improvement in a targeted aspect of school practice. They work to implement agreed priorities, build consistency and capability within their area, monitor progress and outcomes and contribute to whole-school improvement through their specialist leadership.
Lead consistent whole-school processes for the induction, onboarding and support of new and returning staff.
Support effective daily staffing operations, including working alongside the Daily Organiser and Timetabler to strengthen the College¿s workforce.
Coordinate the College¿s approach to pre-service teacher placements and support graduate teachers through VIT requirements.
Develop clear systems, resources and timelines that support efficient and consistent staff operations across the College.
Use workforce information and staff feedback to identify emerging needs and continuously improve staff operations.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Lead the College¿s staff induction and onboarding processes, ensuring staff understand key procedures, expectations, routines and College values.
Work alongside the Daily Organiser and Assistant Principals to support effective daily staffing operations and identify recurring staffing needs or pressures.
Maintain and strengthen the College¿s CRT workforce, including recruitment, induction, communication, feedback and ongoing support.
Coordinate pre-service teacher placements, including partnerships with universities, placement arrangements and support for supervising teachers.
Oversee the College¿s VIT process for graduate teachers and support the establishment of appropriate mentoring arrangements.
Coordinate consistent staff onboarding, role-transition and offboarding processes, including access to information, resources and appropriate handovers.
Develop and maintain staff operations procedures, resources, documentation and annual timelines relating to induction, CRTs, VIT and pre-service teacher placements.
Monitor workforce trends and gather feedback from staff, CRTs, mentors and supervising teachers to identify opportunities to improve systems and staff experience.
Work with the College¿s leadership team to ensure staff operations effectively support the day-to-day functioning and future workforce needs of the College.
Identify improvement opportunities and undertake other tasks as delegated by the Principal.
