The Middle Years Leader provides strategic leadership of the Year 9 and 10 program, ensuring students experience a cohesive, engaging and academically challenging learning environment that promotes high levels of achievement, belonging, wellbeing and aspiration.
Working in partnership with the Assistant Principal, the Middle Years Leader leads the continuous improvement of the Middle Years through the development of people, systems and practice. The role provides leadership to the Year Level Coordinator team while also contributing to whole-school improvement through active membership of the Student Engagement and Wellbeing for Learning (SEWL) Team and the School Improvement Team.
The Middle Years Leader plays a key role in strengthening the instructional capability of staff and ensuring that wellbeing, engagement and learning are viewed as interconnected drivers of student success.
The Middle Years Leader contributes to the successful implementation of the College Strategic Plan by strengthening the quality of the Year 9 and 10 experience, building leadership capability, improving teaching practice and fostering a culture where students are engaged, challenged and supported to thrive.
