The Director of Learning is responsible for creating a positive learning environment that promotes learning growth in every student. This will be achieved by supporting staff in the development and implementation of evidence based best practice and differentiation that supports the learning of all students.
This role is dedicated to supporting the development and implementation of high-impact teaching and learning initiatives across the school. Working outside the classroom full time, The Director of Learning will also be responsible for ensuring that teachers are implementing teaching practices that have the greatest impact on student progression.
The role also includes working directly with students to enhance engagement and achievement, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in teaching and learning. As staff member, the Director of Learning is expected to build respectful and collaborative relationships that actively contribute to a positive school culture and climate.

Our leadership team currently consists of 1 Principal, 2 Assistant Principals and 4 Learning Specialists. There is a strong emphasis on maintaining a safe, secure, welcoming and stimulating environment that encourages successful learning. We have 23 classroom teachers, 6 specialist teachers, 25 Education Support Officers (Student Learning), full time IT technician and part time Library person. Our school is well resourced enabling us to implement strategies to address the needs of all students, including those with special needs. Assessment is formative and teachers gather in their Professional Learning Communities to discuss the best practice to ensure that all students have the opportunity and learning experiences that enables them to flourish. Summative Assessment is carried out each term in Literacy and Numeracy and goals are set according to individual needs to facilitate each child being taught at their point of need.
