1 Demonstrated ability to lead and manage the implementation of the Department and school¿s priorities in Wellbeing.
2 Demonstrated capacity to lead the implementation of evidence-based practices ( SWPBS, Respectful Relationships etc.) and modelling of Positive Classroom Management Strategies that respond to student learning and wellbeing needs.
3. Demonstrated high level ability to support others in using data to inform teaching practice and to provide feedback on student wellbeing growth and achievement to colleagues, students and parents / carers.
4. Sound knowledge of wellbeing and Mental Health screeners/ assessments to inform decisions and a demonstrated high-level ability to positively engage in collaborative relationships with the school¿s Wellbeing Team as well as with students, colleagues, parents and the broader school community to support student wellbeing and engagement.
5.Demonstrated high-level knowledge, and exemplary skills to promote and facilitate a tiered approach to inclusive education for all students and to lead and facilitate Student Wellbeing within our school.
6. Demonstrated capacity and experience in coaching colleagues to maintain a positive, safe and orderly learning and teaching environment in a positive, proactive and passionate way including managing a high volume of data sets, systems and record keeping.

The Wellbeing Leader will work collaboratively with members of the Wellbeing Team, including the Disability and Inclusion Leading Teacher and the Mental Health in Primary Schools (MHiPS) Leader. The role requires a highly skilled professional who can manage complex matters involving students, staff, and families with independence, professionalism, discretion, and strong ethical practice.
The successful applicant will demonstrate highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to respond strategically and effectively to a range of wellbeing, behavioural, and engagement challenges in a timely manner. A strong commitment to child safety, student dignity, and alignment with school values and practices is essential.
The Wellbeing Leader will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional learning and the ability to apply new knowledge effectively in practice. They will use expert knowledge and exemplary practice to support student behaviour, build staff capacity, and foster strong partnerships with families and external agencies. The role also requires maintaining the high standards, consistency, and rigour expected of wellbeing leadership to achieve positive outcomes for students and the broader school community.
The Wellbeing Leader will contribute actively as a member of the Leadership Team and lead initiatives aligned with the School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan (AIP), using a whole-school approach informed by data and evidence-based practice.

Wodonga West Primary School is situated in North East Victoria on the beautiful Albury / Wodonga border . This School has long been established in Wodonga and has undergone many upgrades over the years. The school caters for approximately 300 students and has a Kindergarten on site that operates five days a week for 3 and 4 Year Old Kinder. Along with the standard Victorian Curriculum the school also has specialist classes of Science, Visual Arts, Physical Education and the LOTE taught at Wodonga West is Auslan. The school has approximately 20 teaching staff (including 2 Principal Class) and 20 Education Support Staff, Wodonga West is an accredited Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) School.
