An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the First Peoples-State Relations Group, in the Traditional Owner Rights & Land Justice Branch as Policy Lead, Land Rights Reform at the Department of Premier and Cabinet. The First Peoples - State Relations Group supports an extensive program of priority work with First Peoples, applying a strong understanding of self-determination to our work practices and in providing clear and robust advice to the Minister for Treaty and First Peoples, Premier, Cabinet and Senior Executives.
The Policy Lead will manage a new Land Rights Reform team in the First Peoples - State Relations group (FPSR). The Policy Lead will work to enable self-determination and work in partnership with Traditional Owner Groups and Aboriginal organisations to achieve outcomes mutually beneficial to the State and First Peoples.

This role is a unique opportunity for a policy expert to have a significant influence on leading reforms within the Minister for Treaty and First Peoples' portfolio. You will lead a highly skilled, experienced team of policy officers on land rights and Traditional Owner rights reform.
