Develop your regulatory, advocacy and litigation expertise in a supportive legal team
The Legal Team plays a pivotal role in supporting the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) to deliver its regulatory responsibilities and uphold public confidence in the teaching profession. Providing specialist legal expertise across complex investigations, disciplinary proceedings, litigation and regulatory decision-making, the team works on matters that help protect the safety and wellbeing of children and young people while maintaining the integrity of Victoria's education sector.
About the role
Reporting to the Legal Manager within the Professional Conduct Branch, you will provide legal advice and support across VIT's regulatory functions.
As a Lawyer, you will work alongside experienced Senior Lawyers on diverse range of regulatory matters. In this role you will work on disciplinary proceedings, suitability assessments, policy matters and litigation, contributing to outcomes that directly impact the teaching profession and broader community.
