ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Lawyer delivers high quality legal support across Museums Victoria, providing practical and strategic legal advice on a broad range of matters to support the effective management of legal and organisational risk.
The primary responsibility of the Lawyer will be advice and support in relation to:
The successful applicant will be a strong communicator, highly organised, work collaboratively and provide accurate and practical legal advice.
The preferred candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years' experience as a lawyer and hold a Victorian legal practising certificate.
OTHER INFORMATION
This is a full time, fixed-term contract for 12 months. The position is classified within the VPS 3.2.1 (Base salary $91,971 + superannuation) - VPS 4.1.1 (base salary $100,894 + superannuation) range, depending on experience.
The successful applicant is required to undergo a National Police Records Check and Working with Children Check and be assessed as suitable (new employees are required to meet this cost).
