Court Services Victoria (CSV) provides corporate and facility services to support the operations of Victoria's courts and tribunals, including the Supreme Court, the County Court, the Magistrates' Court, the Children's Court, and the Coroners Court, as well as the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the Judicial College of Victoria.
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV), part of the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, plays a vital role in delivering justice across metropolitan and regional areas. Handling over 300,000 cases annually at 51 venues, MCV accounts for around 90% of all cases heard in Victorian courts. The Court is committed to being innovative, accessible, and responsive, providing high-quality services to the Victorian community.
About the Role
The Lawyer supports the effective functioning and ongoing development of the Magistrates' Court by providing legal advice, conducting research, contributing to law reform, and assisting with legal projects and litigation matters.
