THE ROLE
This innovative position will drive positive changes and enhance the life outcomes for children and young people across each of the Department of Families Fairness and Housing areas. The Kinship Engagement Coordinator will work under the model of kinship care in place across Victoria, in the early identification of potential kinship carers in a child or young person's network and supervising staff providing ongoing kinship placement support. This role has a focus on identifying kinship options for children and young people in residential care and Aboriginal children and young people.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Forge strong connections across the department and with external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
- Provide advice and professional expertise to key internal and external stakeholders in areas of responsibility including critical policy, funding and program development.
- Contribute to service development and implementation of new initiatives and policy.
