The prison's primary purpose is the reintegration and preparedness of offenders for transition to release. H.M Prison Langi Kal Kal is made up of eight separate industries: Farm, Horticulture, Landmate, Kitchen, Metalfab, Poultry, Textiles, Stores, & Warehouse, where there is a strong focus on employment, training, and work readiness.
The Justice Officer - Stores & Canteen is part of the Regional Corporate Services team responsible for ensuring best-practice procurement Stores and Shop processes.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Finance Supervisor, the Justice Officer - Stores & Canteen will process a range of Warehouse, Prisoner Shop and procurement transactions ensuring compliance with requirements and timelines. This role will ensure electronic and paper-based record keeping systems are up to date and accurate. day-to-day operations of the prison stores functions including warehouse, procurement and administrative functions, prisoner shop, prison archive, prison vehicle fleet. This position entails direct prisoner contact.
