What you will do
As Justice Officer – Records, you will manage prisoner records and provide administrative support.
You will work with staff, courts and other services to keep records accurate and secure.
You will:
- manage prisoner records, files and archives, ensuring accurate storage, movement and disposal
- prepare documents for prisoner transfers, classifications, releases and court appearances
- maintain registers and systems to help staff find records quickly and accurately
- check records and processes to ensure strong compliance with laws, policies and procedures
- provide professional support, correspondence and information to staff, courts and other services
About you
No formal qualification is required for this role. You will need to learn new systems and follow relevant laws, policies and procedures.
You should also have:
- good computer skills and confidence learning new systems and software
- sound knowledge of records management and the legal importance of accurate court documents
- flexible and cooperative approach, with respect for people from diverse backgrounds
- polite and clear communication skills, with good judgement when handling requests and problems
