About the role
South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a motivated Junior Medical Officer (JMO) Manager to lead and coordinate our Junior Medical workforces. Reporting to the Senior Manager Medical Services, the role is responsible for the effective management of interns, hospital medical officers, registrars and career medical officers. The JMO Manager oversees the day-to-day functions of the Medical Workforce Coordinators, including rostering, leave, timesheets and funding opportunities, and works closely with the Medical Education Officer to ensure compliance with PMCV and relevant Medical College accreditation requirements.
What you bring
The successful applicant will hold a relevant tertiary or vocational qualification in business or extensive experience in health service operations, with a proven ability to deliver strong business outcomes in complex environments. You have excellent communication, organisation and time‑management skills, with experience in workforce rostering and staff management, and the ability to work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams while managing conflict effectively. Your experience will also include contributing to business proposals and submissions, supporting informed decision‑making and service improvement.
