Position Summary
The ICT Technician will undertake routine tasks and overseas ICT functions of the College in collaboration with the ICT Team. The ICT Technician will support the maintenance of ICT Equipment at the College including Laptops, Desktops, Computer Labs, purchase of ICT Equipment and assistance as required.
There will be a number of tasks to be performed on a regular basis where priorities are clear, procedures are well established and direction is readily available.
The ICT Technician is responsible to the Assistant Principal & the Business Manager .
Primary Responsibilities
Undertaking general maintenance of ICT Equipment
Working through a schedule of regular tasks and maintenance audits
Undertake routine inspections of all ICT Equipment to ensure all equipment is in good working order
Assist with manual tasks such unpacking ICT equipment in readiness for set up, assist with set up of ICT equipment for school events.
Regular collection of supplies from authorised suppliers, eschools ordering process
Performing building maintenance programs including, but not limited to...repairing and replacing Laptops and any other equipment, as it requires attention.
Carry out minor maintenance tasks, as they are identified (eg. Laptop & ICT Equipment repairs etc.)
Liaise with contractors to carry-out works requiring certification and/or specific expertise.
Manage the use and maintenance of equipment within the work area
Ensure security is maintained within the work area
Work as part of a team to ensure that all OH & S requirements are met
Support the maintenance and management of College equipment
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills in order to communicate with all stakeholders, including students, parents, staff and goods and services providers including prioritising of tasks.
An ability to work independently with confidence and initiative, including prioritising workloads
Manage procedures relating to the College equipment in accordance with school policy
Evaluate and select equipment and materials and make recommendations to senior management
Develop procedures relating to the use and maintenance of equipment and materials
Coordinate the purchase of equipment and materials
Coordinate and undertake routine inspections as required
Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
Liaise with the ICT Team and Leadership team on status of tasks
Attend ICT Meetings as required
Individuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfil the specific requirements of the position as listed above.

Tarneit Senior College is located in a developing area of Wyndham, approximately 25 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. We are located next to one of our main feeder schools - Tarneit P-9 College while also accepting enrolments from a number of other primary and P-9 schools including Baden Powell College, Truganina P-9 College and Doherty's Creek P-9.
