The Parliament of Victoria supports 128 Members of Parliament and their electorate officers across the state. Our support services are delivered through three dedicated departments: the Legislative Assembly, the Legislative Council, and the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS). This role sits within DPS, providing essential HR, Finance, and IT infrastructure to the entire organisation.
About the role and team
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our IT Architecture and Strategy team for a pivotal 3-year engagement.
You will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive Enterprise Human Capital Management System (HCMS) to replace our legacy onboarding, core HR, payroll, and rostering systems. While the heavy lifting of the implementation is slated for early 2027 (following the 2026 Victorian State Election), the critical planning and procurement phases begin now.
We aren't looking for a 'tech-head' who speaks only in jargon. We need a bridge-builder: someone with the communication polish to navigate complex stakeholder groups and the change management expertise to ensure the organisation is ready for day one.
