Investment and Technology leads and manages the investment lifecycle; drives commercial advice & negotiations to facilitate reform; and enables core delivery through Finance, Procurement & Enterprise Technology.
The Enterprise Technology division provides enterprise technologies including Corporate Systems, Enterprise IT (such as Workplace, Service Desk, Infrastructure, Cyber, and IT operations), and data platforms together with organisation-wide data.
The Solution Design and Delivery Branch in Enterprise Technology Division focuses on delivering IT services and solutions that unite people, process and systems to form an integrated, high performing and efficient Department of Transport and Planning. The team thrives on working collaboratively with its stakeholders to achieve exceptional results for the department.

About the Role
This is a Fixed Term, full-time position until 19th June 2026.
(Please note – the successful candidate will be appointed only to the base salary at VPS7.1.1 - $188,297).
The IT Program Manager is responsible for technical project management activities relating to the Records Management Systems Uplift Project, including, applying project management principles, exercising practices and techniques to deliver the project, ensuring required outputs are achieved within agreed time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits.
The successful candidate will interact with both internal and external stakeholders and provide exceptional project management and technical input throughout the project’s phases. The successful candidate will help lead a highly focused and driven team of who are passionate about contributing to delivering project outcomes.
Role Specific Requirements –
Ordinary hours of work are Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm. May be required to be on stand-by outside their ordinary hours of duty to perform work.

Position Accountabilities
The successful candidate is required to lead end-to-end project delivery from concept to closure using established methodologies to ensure benefits realisation, while working collaboratively across the Department and with external partners to define scope, requirements, and outcomes. The role involves maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, overseeing procurement processes, developing and managing project plans, timelines, budgets, and resources, and identifying and mitigating risks and issues. It also requires regular monitoring, reporting, and documentation, as well as contributing to a positive, inclusive, and culturally safe work environment.

Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
· Project delivery qualifications and/or equivalent experience with technology projects with demonstrable end to end outcomes.Desirable
· Extensive experience with information and records management systems and tools, including, SharePoint and M365, in a large government or corporate organisation.
