IT Business Support Officer
- Salary: $79,122 - $96,073 (Plus superannuation)

The Role
As an IT Business Support Officer, you will provide technical support for the departments video conferencing, telephone and IT systems, while also handling administrative duties to support the IT function. This role involves troubleshooting issues, installing and maintaining hardware and software, managing user accounts, and assisting with other administrative tasks like documentation and coordination.
Reporting to the Manager Telecommunications and Infrastructure within the Information Services Branch, this role requires experience with video conferencing, telephony and IT problem-solving along with a high level of customer service excellence and stakeholder engagement skills.
Key accountabilities include:
- Provide first- and second-level support for video conferencing (VC) and telephony services, encompassing mobile devices and Unified Communications (UC) platforms. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting Microsoft Teams Cloud Calling and Amazon Connect contact centre solutions across the department.
- Provide system administration, first level security analysis, and support of the department's VC infrastructure and Virtual Meeting services along with dependent software services, such as Microsoft Outlook and relevant productivity tools. This includes timely license management and ensure quality reporting on services provided.
- Design user guides, and videos relating to collaboration technologies including Microsoft Teams and Webex suitable for intended audiences.
- Participate in the evaluation of meeting room conferencing technology equipment and make recommendations as to the best fit with the Department's strategic direction to use Microsoft Teams, including consultation with other IT Operations staff, equipment suppliers and Cenitex.
- Maintain VC Hardware Asset Management registration, through comprehensive configuration information for the VC and telephony suite of services and hardware.
- Ensure that all supported infrastructure is documented according to policies and recommendations and perform regular checks on the environments, and development of standard operating procedures for supported systems.
- Perform technical and reporting duties as required for the Branch in the event of resource shortfall for other roles in workplace, online, application, and infrastructure areas, and direct staff in short-term projects.
- Provide supplementary first level and administration support where required for IT cloud environments.
The Team
The position of IT Business Support Officer will work within Information Technology & Workplace Services (IT&WS) branch, which sits within Corporate Services group.
Information Technology & Workplace Services (IT&WS) branch oversees the delivery of ICT and Office Accommodation related investments and services to DJSIR. IT&WS branch engages with the organisation to ensure IT and Office Accommodation systems and services are appropriately designed, governed, and delivered. IT&WS branch offers a range of end-user focused systems and services to the organisation both directly and through third-party providers and provides governance and assurance for systems and services delivered by other groups and agencies.
