Investment & Project Support Specialist
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Investment & Project Support Specialist with a passion for Victoria's economic growth and delivery particularly with or for the Victorian defence, advanced air mobility, aviation or aerospace sectors.
You will support facilitation and delivery of investment growth opportunities for Victoria by identifying and helping to secure new investments in the defence, advanced air mobility, aviation or aerospace sectors, and provide key program and administrative assistance to the Defence, Aviation and Aerospace team through ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of Defence, Aviation and Aerospace related projects.
The position requires you to have experience in the provision of high-level support to Investment and Program Managers, and well-developed organisational, communication, finance and planning skills.
Key tasks that you will be responsible for include supporting development and conversion of the Defence, Aviation and Aerospace investment pipeline, grant management and preparing investment business cases.

The position of Investment & Project Support Specialist forms a part of Defence, Aviation and Aerospace Branch within the Industry, Trade and Investment Group.
The Defence, Aviation and Aerospace Branch provide whole of Victorian Government leadership and coordination on the defence and aerospace and the aviation industries to grow these sectors and capture specific strategic opportunities.

About You
The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge, and experience in various industry sectors along with a comprehensive understanding of the global and business environment, investmen t trends and ability to proactively target investments for Victoria, grant administration including contract management, financial monitoring and reporting for programs, and reporting and compliance support as well as providing secretariat duties as required.
The incumbent will necessarily be a considered and positive member of a busy and passionate team and should bring a strategic and informed mindset to make a meaningful contribution to the overall activities and operation of the Department. The position requires sharp commercial acumen and attention to detail.
