About the role
This is a fixed term position until 30 November 2026
As the Investment Planner, you will develop and lead the forward investment program for road safety initiatives across Victoria. You’ll provide strategic analysis, advise on investment priorities, and support business case development aligned with Safe System principles and the Road Safety Action Plan. Working closely with partners across government and the road safety sector, your work will help shape how we invest in safer roads and transport networks.

What you’ll bring
We’re looking for a forward-thinking, analytical planner with experience in infrastructure planning, business case development or project delivery. You’ll bring a sound understanding of road safety principles, data analysis, and the ability to navigate government processes to influence strategic outcomes. Strong stakeholder engagement and written communication skills are essential.

Position outcomes
• Lead the development and prioritisation of strategic investment programs
• Analyse data and provide advice on funding opportunities and business cases
• Support the alignment of investments with Safe System and road safety outcomes
• Monitor delivery and performance of projects against strategic objectives
• Build strong relationships across the road safety partnership to drive results
Qualifications and experience
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (mandatory)
• Understanding of road safety and Safe System principles (mandatory)
• Experience in project delivery, program planning, and financial oversight (mandatory)
• Experience in investment planning or road safety infrastructure (desirable)
