The Role
The Investment Intelligence Coordinator supports the Governance and Performance team within the Industry, Trade and Investment Services Branch by delivering high-quality data analysis, reporting and administrative support. The role contributes to investment pipeline management and governance activities, including preparing reports, presentations, committee materials and communications that inform decision-making across the Industry, Trade and Investment Group.
Working closely with stakeholders across the Investment and Engagement Branch, the role helps translate complex investment and trade data into clear insights that support program delivery, governance requirements and strategic priorities.
Main Accountabilities
• Analyse investment and trade data, including information from the Global Engagement Management System (GEMS), to prepare accurate reports, dashboards and performance insights.
• Provide secretariat support to internal committees, including preparing agendas, minutes and governance documentation.
• Develop presentations, briefings and communications that translate complex data into clear insights aligned with investment and trade priorities.
• Maintain governance processes and guidance materials and undertake quality assurance of documentation.
• Build strong working relationships and contribute to improvements in data quality, reporting practices and systems use.
The Team
The position of Investment Intelligence Coordinator forms part of the Governance and Performance Team within the Industry, Trade and Investment Services Branch in the Industry, Trade and Investment Group.
The Industry, Trade and Investment Group works closely with businesses locally and globally to grow Victorian jobs, drive innovation and increase international competitiveness. The Governance and Performance team provides trade and investment support across the group, including performance reporting, investment data management, governance processes, grant administration, financial risk analysis and business management support.
About You
You will bring strong organisational skills and responsiveness, with the ability to coordinate tasks, determine priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You have experience managing and interpreting complex data and records using tools such as Excel or CRM platforms to support analysis and reporting.
You are also capable of providing high-quality administrative and coordination support, including managing competing priorities and contributing to the successful delivery of team activities and projects.
