The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking an Intelligence and Analytics Officer to provide a critical role within Emergency Management Victoria.
Note – this role works shift work on a rostered basis, at times on weekends, outside of standard business hours & nights.
About the Business Unit
DJCS Emergency Management
Emergency Management, within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (the Department) works closely with government and agencies across the emergency management portfolio. The group is led by the Deputy Secretary, Emergency Management. Emergency Management includes the department's emergency management accountabilities and statutory entities and offices.
The Business Unit: Emergency Management Victoria
Emergency Management Victoria (EMV) leads emergency management in Victoria by working with government, agencies and business to strengthen their capacity to withstand, plan for, respond to and recover from emergencies. EMV is a statutory entity and is part of the Department of Justice and Community Safety (the Department). The Department, through the Secretary, employs EMV staff and provides corporate functions to EMV. EMV is led jointly by the Chief Executive (CE) and the Emergency Management Commissioner (EMC).
Operations
The purpose of the Operations directorate is to lead the emergency operational coordination and state operations in Victoria by working with communities, government, agencies and business to strengthen their capacity to withstand, plan for, respond to and recover from emergencies.
About the Role
The Intelligence & Analytics Officer Collects, analyses and organises situational information and data to produce intelligence reports for the State Control Centre (SCC). You are responsible for providing administrative support across the intelligence cycle for the development of products and supporting the Intelligence and Mapping Analytics team.

The role works on a rostered basis. The incumbent will be required to work outside normal business hours and on weekends.
