The Intelligence, Analysis and Reporting Project Officer role offers an outstanding career opportunity for a professional who is passionate about using their expertise to support VIT in its regulation of Victorian teachers. With expert knowledge on strategic and operational analysis, data management experience and strong communication skills, the role will ensure VIT make effective, intelligence-led regulatory decisions.

About the role
This role will require you to:
• develop and deliver strategic, business, and operational reports across VIT that provides stakeholders with relevant, timely and accurate information to inform decision making.
• implement frameworks and controls to ensure that personal and sensitive data is protected.
• develop a range of data collection tools and reporting mechanisms to accurately capture and report on information and data from a range of internal and external sources.
• leverage subject matter expertise in data analysis and representation to communicate information and insights on emerging issues, trends, threats, and opportunities relevant to VIT's regulatory responsibilities.
• contribute to the maintenance of data quality and integrity across VIT's business systems by identifying and resolving issues and errors.
• build collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders regarding data business requirements and provide technical advice to all areas of the business as required.
• contribute as a member of the Business Systems team to supporting VIT's technology platforms and systems.
• undertake other duties as directed by the Business Systems Manager or Director, Shared Services.
About you
As an experienced data analyst you will have sound and practical knowledge of statistical analysis and data management. You will have experience in data representation and visualisation through business intelligence tools, and ideally a passion for child safety and experience working within the education sector.
You will have strong data literacy combined with a highly organised approach and a proven track record in working collaboratively and communicating information to difference audiences. In addition to this, as the successful candidate, you will have:
• The ability to derive value from data sets to enable immediate and/or future decision making
• The ability to communicate clearly and concisely to your target audience
• A future focus to understand how your work aligns to organizational objectives and emerging technologies
• Flexibility and adaptability in your work practices
