The BPC is embarking on an ambitious reform agenda that includes expanding our regulatory footprint, to get more inspectors on the ground and increase our reach in regulating the building industry.
As a result of this, we are seeking to employ multiple Inspectors across the Inspectorate. As an inspector you are responsible for undertaking inspections/surveillance and audit activities to drive and ensure suitable levels of practitioner compliance with relevant legislation, codes and Australian Standards, and the monitoring and enforcement of industry and practitioner performance in meeting compliance obligations.
The Inspector, Building will respond to consumer complaints and support the BPC's efforts to tackle complex building related plumbing matters and regulatory priorities, including conducting multi-disciplinary. The Inspector will document and communicate compliance expectations to practitioners and exercise statutory powers in line with BPC policies and guidelines.

About the BPC
The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing.
It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.
Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
