VMIA is seeking an Innovation Delivery Analyst to help identify opportunities, solve complex business challenges, and deliver innovative solutions that create value for clients, stakeholders, and the Victorian Government.
Working within the Innovation and Projects Office, you will apply human-centred design, innovation, research, experimentation, and continuous improvement methodologies to develop and implement impactful solutions. Reporting to the Innovation Manager, you will contribute to VMIA's mission of building a confident and resilient Victoria.
Salary: $145,000–$155,000 total remuneration package (including super), depending on experience.
Hybrid Work: Flexible arrangements with the majority of work conducted from VMIA's collaborative office environment.
Identify and develop innovative solutions aligned with VMIA's strategic priorities.
Apply design thinking and problem-solving methodologies to address complex challenges.
Conduct research, trend analysis, and environmental scanning to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
Facilitate workshops, ideation sessions, and design sprints.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and validate solutions.
Design and run pilots, experiments, and proof-of-concepts.
Monitor and evaluate innovation initiatives and provide recommendations.
Contribute to innovation frameworks, tools, and processes.
Build innovation capability through training, workshops, and resources.
Support governance, reporting, risk management, and compliance activities.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
You will have:
Experience delivering innovation, transformation, design, or continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong knowledge of design thinking, human-centred design, innovation frameworks, and experimentation methods.
Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data and translate insights into recommendations.
Experience running pilots, experiments, or proof-of-concepts.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving capability and comfort working in complex environments.
A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
Qualification in innovation, design, business analysis, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum five years' experience in innovation, design, transformation, or related roles.
Demonstrated experience leading discovery, ideation, prototyping, and innovation delivery activities.
Certifications in innovation, design thinking, business analysis, project management, or program management are highly regarded.
