What You'll Do
In this role, you'll support the Built Assets and Projects Team maintaining and repairing small plant and equipment, developing preventative maintenance plans, and carrying out general maintenance across tracks, paths, drains and built assets. You'll operate specialised machinery, oversee contractors, and ensure all work complies with safety standards. You'll contribute to planning processes and asset management, provide clear infrastructure advice to stakeholders, and participate in fire management activities. The role also includes supervising apprentices or volunteers, maintaining accurate records, assisting with procurement, and working collaboratively across teams to support key organisational priorities.
What You'll Bring
You'll bring a relevant trade qualification or strong industry experience, along with demonstrated skills in small plant servicing, asset maintenance and hard landscape upkeep. You're confident operating machinery safely, using appropriate PPE, and are willing to obtain any required licences or competency tickets, including Medium Rigid, front-end loader, excavator and basic firefighting accreditation. You'll have solid customer service experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to use software such as Word, Excel and Outlook. You work well in a team, can support or supervise others, and are able to seek quotes and costings. .
