THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Strategy & Architecture, the Information Management Specialist is a key role within the Information Technology Services (ITS) Branch. The role is a senior role responsible for providing specialist data and Information Management (IM) advice for the branches data and IM initiatives and the broader department, as well as leading and driving the implementation of key data and IM policies and tools across divisions in the department.
The role forms part of the Strategy and Architecture Unit and works closely with Enterprise Architecture and Data Architecture leads in the unit. In addition, as the department consumes technical services from the Department of Health (DH), the role will collaborate and work with similar teams in the DH to ensure consistency in delivery of policies and tools.
Similarly, the role will work across divisions in the department and interact with both senior management and business and technical stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will be a high performing individual with strong analytical, problem solving, policy understanding and communication skills. The role would be suited to individuals who are comfortable working with complex issues, in multidisciplinary teams and with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
