About the role
The Information and Education Officer support the delivery of education and interpretation activities that help visitors understand and appreciate Victoria's natural and cultural heritage. Working under supervision, the role assists with preparing and delivering public programs including Junior Ranger and other Learning for Nature programs, school sessions and community events, and helps develop and maintain interpretive materials such as signs, displays, and digital content.
The position also assists in developing and maintaining clear and accurate visitor information and other communications for parks in their region, such as visitor guides, web content, photos, signage, park maps or community engagement materials.
The position works closely with colleagues, Traditional Owners, volunteers, schools, and community groups to deliver safe, inclusive, and engaging visitor experiences. It also helps with data collection, record keeping, and reporting to support evaluation and continuous improvement of products, programs and services.
