The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking an Industry Officer - Kitchen/Catering to provide a critical role within Custodial Operations Unit
About the Business Unit
Located at Castlemaine, Loddon Prison is a 477 bed Medium Security Prison for sentenced male prisoners. Adjacent to Loddon Prison is Middleton, a 236 bed Restricted Minimum-Security Prison for sentenced male prisoners. The focus of both prisons is rehabilitation via individual case management, employment, education, training and the provision of programs and targeted interventions to address offending behaviour and promote the development of prosocial behaviour. Both prisons provide contemporary and quality correctional services that prepare prisoners for transition and reintegration.
About the role
As an Industry Supervisor – Kitchen / Self catering, you will oversee the provision of the kitchen and food operations industry. You will lead staff and provide supervision and training to people in prison employed in industries.

You hold a relevant trade or industry qualification, or you have strong kitchen or catering experience. You are willing to complete prison officer pre-service training.
You should also have:
You must have completed prison officer pre-service training or be willing to do so.
