The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking an Incident Analyst to provide a critical role within the System Performance Branch.

Corrections Victoria is part of the Corrections and Justice Services group in the Department of Justice and Community Safety. Corrections Victoria operates Victoria's adult custodial corrections system. Its vision is for Safer Prisons, Safer People, Safer Communities. The System Performance Branch in Custodial Operations comprises mainly of three teams - the Litigation and Coronial Matters team, the Operations Directorate and the Monitoring, Standards and Reporting Unit. The Branch provides authoritative, strategic and policy advice, and briefing papers on a range of correctional issues to senior correctional management and is responsible for a range of work primarily across prisons. Its responsibilities include state-wide oversight of a range of central functions, including operational policy development, review and amendment, convening and participating in state-wide managers' meetings, performance monitoring and reporting, incident reporting, responding to family violence information sharing requests, oversight of internal and external reviews and investigations, coordination of CV's responses to coronial matters and litigation, auditing, correspondence, and general advice to prisons and other departmental staff and internal and external stakeholders.
About the Role
The Incident Analyst reports to the Prison Incidents Operations Manager and is responsible for monitoring and analysing incidents across the prison system.
