Corrections Victoria is responsible for the direction, management and operation of Victoria's prison system and Post Sentence Scheme. As a service agency within the Department of Justice & Community Safety (DJCS), Corrections Victoria develops and implements policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
Reporting to the Human Resources Supervisor, the Human Resources Officer is responsible for supporting the effective delivery of a range of human resource functions, with the primary focus to assist with recruitment duties and reporting for the facility
About Us:
The department of Justice and Community Safety comprises of eight regions, through which compliance, enforcement and regulatory services are provided to the Victorian community.
The Loddon Mallee Region provides services for three prisons, two within the Loddon Prison and Middleton precinct which is comprised of a medium risk facility (Loddon) and a restricted minimum facility (Middleton) and Tarrengower Prison, which is a women's minimum risk facility located at Maldon. They also provide support through Justice Service Centres in Bendigo, Swan Hill, Echuca and Mildura and at outreach locations across the region, including Castlemaine, Maryborough, Kerang, Robinvale, Kyneton and Ouyen.
About the Role:
The Human Resources Officer provides a range of HR administration support to Loddon Region Prisons. Reporting to the Human Resources Supervisor, you will be part of a small team and will be responsible for a wide variety of functions including resolving internal stakeholder queries, preparing reports and assisting with recruitment activities, as well as other general computer related duties.
