THE ROLE
Reporting to the Manager, HR Divisional & Volume Recruitment, this role provides authoritative HR advice and leads the delivery of high-quality HR services across the department, with a strong focus on supporting the Child Protection program.
You will lead and motivate a small team delivering end-to-end HR operational services, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, conditions of employment, and remuneration. The role takes a lead in high-volume recruitment activities and provides strategic People and Culture advice to managers and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing a team of HR professionals
Providing authoritative and complex HR advice to managers and staff
Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and employment lifecycle activities
Leading volume recruitment initiatives for the Child Protection program
Contributing to People and Culture reform and change initiatives
Building strong relationships with internal clients and stakeholders
About you:
Experience in a senior HR advisory or leadership role
Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills
Sound knowledge of HR frameworks, policy, and employment conditions
Ability to balance strategic advice with operational delivery
Play a key leadership role in delivering impactful HR services that support critical frontline programs
