The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Corporate Services Division in the Human Resources Unit for a ongoing full-time position.
The HR Advisor contributes towards the effective service delivery of HR services, systems and processes. Through cross-functional collaboration, the incumbent provides high quality support, advice and services regarding HR policies, procedures and best practice.
The purpose of this role is supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Unit. Working closely with management across various Divisions, Units, and programs, you will develop and advise on HR best practice to support the growth of high-quality performance and development culture. You will be required to provide senior level advice and support on the interpretation of DET policy and practice, and complex HR issues to enable informed decision making.
A high level interpersonal and stakeholder management skill with internal and external stakeholders, together with an ability to multitask, have a flexible approach to work and the capacity to remain calm under pressure are essential attributes for the successful candidate.
