About the Role
A unique opportunity exists for an accomplished HR Engagement Officer to join us as an integral member of the People and Workplace Relations (Schools) Division. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, high volume and rapidly changing environment, supporting the office of the Executive Director and the division's Client Engagement Unit. People and Workplace Relations (Schools) Division provides human resource services and strategic human resource policy advice to Victorian schools in areas of schools recruitment, employee relations, payroll and provision of HR data to assist in the building of a high-quality and diverse schools workforce. Recruitment, payroll and reporting support is also provided to external clients.
Under the guidance of the Manager, Client Engagement, the HR Engagement Officer contributes towards the provision of strategic support across administrative operations including providing high-level administrative support across a range of areas and ensuring briefs, correspondence and Cabinet and Parliament related documents are quality assured and coordinated efficiently. The HR Engagement Officer assists in the coordination and preparation of HR policy and projects and provides support to the division's branches, including researching and distributing information, and developing and implementing communications. The role entails liaising with relevant areas within the department to ensure quality, accurate and timely advice is provided to the department's senior leadership team and relevant ministers, as well as providing stakeholder management support to the division's Client Engagement Unit. The role will also assist with the management of the division's SharePoint site and records management.
